Gridiron Condos
The 114-year old Seattle Plumbing Building is one of two rare triangle buildings sitting at the southern gateway to the Pioneer Square Historical District. Now west of Qwest Field at Occidental and Railroad avenues, it was built to service railroad operations.
With the impending removal of the Alaskan Way Viaduct and pedestrian connection to the new central waterfront, it will once again return to its former prominence on the city’s southern edge.
Daniels Real Estate has created a contemporary and distinctive design with an 11-story glass façade that floats above the historic, masonry building.
The old building will remain a retail use, while the upper floors are the first new condominiums to be built in Pioneer Square in over 40-years. Adding to the renaissance and preservation of Seattle’s oldest neighborhood.
